About
the clue is in the name
The Social is a Whitianga training studio built on the idea that hard work should be something you look forward to, not something you endure alone in the corner of a gym.
Three disciplines sit on one timetable: strength & conditioning, hybrid training, spin and group training, plus a 24-hour gym, sauna, showers and an outdoor courtyard with calisthenics equipment.
Classes are capped on purpose. Small enough that the coach sees your set-up drift, knows which side of your back plays up, and remembers what you were working on last week.
It suits people starting from scratch, people easing back in around old injuries, and people who already train hard and want a room set up properly for it.
We are on Bryce Street in central Whitianga. Come in and get a feel for the place.

Coached, not supervised

Why I created The Social
come for the training. stay for the people.
I've always believed that the best part of fitness is the people you meet along the way.
Over the years, I've seen how powerful a good training community can be. It's not just about getting stronger or fitter. It's about having somewhere to show up, somewhere you're encouraged and somewhere people notice when you're missing.
Somewhere you can train seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Somewhere beginners feel just as welcome as experienced athletes. Somewhere good music, hard work and genuine connection are part of every session.
